Job summary

CIBC is seeking a senior investment banking leader in Milwaukee to originate and execute middle‑market M&A and financing engagements. You will deepen senior client and sponsor relationships, shape vertical market strategy, and build high‑performing deal teams across the platform.

The role requires extensive senior investment banking experience, strong sector credibility, and a proven ability to guide complex transactions while maintaining rigorous governance and client focus.

Qualifications

• Senior investment banking experience with leadership responsibility.
• Middle-market M&A expertise and transaction execution knowledge.
• Established relationships in target verticals (Business Services, Consumer, Healthcare, Software/Tech).
• Strong commercial and strategic judgment with client-focused approach.
• Proven ability to communicate complex ideas to senior executives and boards.
• Track record of building and leading diverse deal teams.

Responsibilities

• Originate and execute M&A and financing engagements.
• Lead transaction execution from pitch to close and coordinate AML clearance.
• Develop and deepen client and sponsor relationships for mandate opportunities.
• Collaborate across Capital Markets and Bank USA to convert market insight to advice.
• Mentor and develop junior team members and manage deal teams.
