Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead human-centered research across the project lifecycle, from planning to insight development. You will design and execute primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability studies) and manage large-scale survey programs in Qualtrics to deliver actionable client insights.

Qualifications

• U.S. permanent residency or citizenship required.
• Bachelor's or Master's with required years in human-centric research and design, analysis, reasoning, or problem solving.
• Strong experience in primary research methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability studies).
• Strong consulting and client-facing skills, able to serve as a trusted advisor.
• Experience leading research initiatives from planning through analysis, insight development, and client reporting.
• Designing, programming, administering, and managing surveys within Qualtrics or similar platforms.
• Analyzing qualitative and quantitative data and communicating findings clearly to clients and stakeholders.
• Synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations that improve programs and customer experiences.
• Project management across multiple workstreams, deadlines, staffing, and budgets.
• Ability to tailor research approaches to client needs and evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead human-centered research engagements across the project lifecycle, including planning, data collection, analysis, and insight development.
• Design and execute primary research methods (surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability studies) to answer client questions and improve outcomes.
• Lead development, programming, testing, deployment, and management of survey research using Qualtrics, ensuring data quality and efficient survey operations.
• Develop evaluation plans, frameworks, and analytical approaches aligned to client objectives and program performance questions.
• Analyze data (qualitative and quantitative), synthesize findings, and translate research into actionable recommendations and visualizations.
• Conduct and interpret survey analyses, net-to-gross assessments, attribution research, and participant decision-making studies to support evaluations.
• Serve as trusted advisor to clients, identify challenges, recommend solutions, and guide evaluation and program strategy decisions.
• Tailor research approaches to client needs, navigate ambiguity, and make sound methodological tradeoffs.
• Manage work plans, staffing, deadlines, budgets, and risks across multiple engagements with leadership collaboration.
• Participate in and lead business development, training, knowledge sharing, and cultural initiatives.
• Drive values through leadership and a people-first, inclusive environment.
