ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant, Capital Project Delivery, based in Charleston, WV, to lead high-profile environmental permitting and NEPA processes for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. You will guide clients through regulatory challenges, coach teams, and deliver strategic value across renewable energy, transmission, and midstream sectors.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in environmental science, natural resources management, ecology, or related field or equivalent experience
• 4+ years (8 years preferred) of consulting experience in NEPA impact assessment and multi-media permitting
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to ERM’s sustainability vision
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
• Preferred: Established client relationships in the Midwest energy and infrastructure sectors
• Preferred: Experience with international projects and global regulatory frameworks

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage environmental permitting and compliance for renewable energy, transmission, and oil & gas projects
• Oversee ESA consultations, develop Habitat Conservation Plans, and prepare mitigation strategies
• Deliver NEPA-compliant impact assessments and management plans, ensuring regulatory alignment
• Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities to add business value
• Maintain high standards for health & safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction
