Job summary

ERM in Overland Park, Kansas seeks a Managing Consultant, Capital Project Delivery to lead environmental permitting and NEPA efforts for large-scale energy and infrastructure projects. You’ll guide clients through regulatory challenges, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure safety, budget, and quality standards.

This client-facing role requires 4+ years of consulting experience, strong writing, and collaboration to advance ERM’s sustainability mission while building lasting relationships

Qualifications

• BS/MS in environmental science or related field.
• 4+ years (8 years preferred) of consulting experience in NEPA impact assessment and multi-media permitting.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset and commitment to ERM’s sustainability vision.
• This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage environmental permitting and compliance for renewable energy, transmission, and oil & gas projects.
• Oversee ESA consultations, develop Habitat Conservation Plans, and prepare mitigation strategies.
• Deliver NEPA-compliant impact assessments and management plans, ensuring regulatory alignment.
• Provide strategic guidance to clients, identifying opportunities to add business value.
• Maintain high standards for health & safety, financial performance, and client satisfaction.
