Position

Receiving Manager

Location

CDC Katy, Texas

Responsibilities

• Receive large shipments and match the contents with the details on the invoice.
• Verify the PO or BOL making sure that the product matches the items and quantity shipped.
• Ensure that the goods are stocked safely in the warehouse.
• Document the information about the shipment like the weight of the parcel, the number of parcels, the duty charges and other parameters as well.
• Monitor the net expenses and related data for goods that are shipped to the consumers as well.
• Identify issues with shortage of merchandise, damaged, or prolonged demand. Make adjustment to stocks accordingly.
• Maintain location‑to‑location transfer report.
• File freight claims with inbound freight lines.
• Record and report all inbound freight discrepancies.
• Staff and supervise the warehouse receiving team. Train and develop associates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse receiving.
• Ability to handle multiple large deliveries.
• Ability to create and print invoices.
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, preferably MS Outlook and MS Excel.
• Good communication and organizational skills for keeping records of invoices, bill of lading, PO, etc.
• Self‑motivated and a team player.
• Proactive in taking the initiative to perform tasks as required.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and follow‑through skills.
• Reliable, detail oriented and accurate in providing information to associates.
• Ability to utilize MHE equipment (forklift, order picker, electric pallet jack).
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet cutoff periods and deadlines.

Environment

• Job duties may require frequent standing and occasional need to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• May encounter extreme hot or cold climates and dusty conditions while pulling product orders.
• May be required to work annual physical inventory.
