Job summary

Mattel, Inc. in Bentonville, AR, is seeking a Manager of Walmart Forecasting to lead forecasting and inventory planning across Walmart’s retail and eCommerce channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of retailer-facing experience, with Walmart experience strongly preferred.
• 4+ years in inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, or a related supply chain discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting and analytical efforts to improve item-level POS projections, inventory planning, and order recommendations across assigned Walmart categories.
• Own category forecast submissions, balancing customer demand with open-to-buy constraints while maintaining forecast accuracy.
• Partner cross-functionally to enhance order execution and coordination between Mattel and Walmart.
• Drive planning for Walmart.com across brands by optimizing inventory and in-stock performance.
• Oversee execution of Mattel’s Direct Import business from Asia with Customer Service collaboration.
• Present demand forecasts and insights during S&OP and consensus planning meetings.
• Collaborate with Walmart Buyers and Replenishment Managers presenting trends and strategic recommendations.
• Transform large data sets into actionable insights to influence planning and efficiency.

Manager, Walmart Forecasting at Mattel is a key role focused on forecasting and planning to boost performance across Walmart’s retail and eCommerce channels. The position reports to the Director of Walmart Forecasting and is based in Bentonville, AR. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Walmart’s Buying and Replenishment teams to develop data‑driven forecasts, optimize inventory, and ensure superior execution in both in‑store and online environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead forecasting and analytical efforts to improve item‑level POS projections, inventory planning, and order recommendations across assigned Walmart categories.
• Own category forecast submissions, balancing customer demand with open‑to‑buy constraints while maintaining forecast accuracy and business alignment.
• Partner cross‑functionally to enhance order execution, maximize fill rates, and strengthen collaboration between Mattel and Walmart.
• Drive planning for Walmart.com across multiple brands by optimizing inventory, improving in‑stock performance, and developing forward‑looking fulfillment strategies.
• Oversee execution of Mattel’s Direct Import business from Asia, partnering with Customer Service to ensure seamless operational performance.
• Present demand forecasts and business insights during internal S&OP and consensus planning meetings to align cross‑functional teams around a shared forecast.
• Collaborate directly with Walmart Buyers and Replenishment Managers, presenting business trends, forecasting insights, and strategic recommendations that support mutual growth.
• Transform large, complex data sets into actionable insights that influence planning decisions, improve operational efficiencies, and support long‑term business success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of retailer‑facing experience, with Walmart experience strongly preferred.
• 4+ years in inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, or a related supply chain discipline; consumer products experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive results through collaboration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess business drivers, and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
• Experience working with large data sets, synthesizing information from multiple sources, and presenting clear, actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with forecasting and planning tools such as JDA, Anaplan, Demantra, or similar platforms.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a high level of comfort working with data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels.
• Sound business judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑motivated with a track record of delivering results independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
