Job summary

84 Lumber, the nation’s largest privately held building materials supplier, seeks a Manager Trainee in Sevierville, TN. This is a full-time, entry-level path designed to prepare you for a leadership role through hands-on training across store operations and sales.

Within 6–12 months, promotion opportunities and potential pay growth exist, with many trainees advancing to General Manager roles in 3–4 years. No prior experience required; relocation may be necessary for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Full-time schedule (48+ hours/week, overtime included).
• Willingness to relocate for a management position.
• No experience required to begin.

Responsibilities

• Handle payroll, invoicing, inventory and POS systems.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite to manage store data and reports.
• Interpret and analyze financial reports for store performance.
• Read blueprints and create material lists for projects.
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
