Connor Group, a professional services firm of Big4 alumni and industry executives, seeks a remote professional with the option to work onsite at client locations or in our U.S. offices.
Responsibilities
- Interact directly with clients and collaborate with a diverse group of professionals.
- Develop specialized expertise and deepen existing knowledge across multiple accounting and finance areas.
- Share experiences, coach junior team members, and provide performance feedback.
- Communicate with engagement leadership and prepare for and facilitate client and team meetings.
- Provide excellent, timely client service, deliver high‑quality work, and strengthen client relationships.
- Add value through complex transaction analyses including IPOs, M&A, divestitures, SPACs/Reverse mergers, and debt/equity private placements.
- Understand and apply technical accounting, FASB, and SEC rules, client deadlines, deliverables, and preferences.
- Identify, analyze, and conclude on GAAP issues; consult with senior manager, director, or engagement partner as needed.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor staff across all levels and contribute to performance feedback and training.
- Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct.
- Strengthen client relationships and generate additional engagement opportunities through quality, timely execution, and a strategic service delivery approach.
- Support growth efforts through pursuits, market research, and maintaining a professional network.
- Assist in preparing and completing audits and add value to public and private clients with detailed revenue analysis, equity accounting, financial statements, and IFRS activities.
Qualifications & Desired Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of public accounting and industry experience (minimum 3 years in public accounting).
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent; CPA license preferred.
- Experience across industries such as technology, biotech, and life sciences.
- Professional, personable demeanor with a passion for helping clients through technical accounting.
- Hard‑working, disciplined, detail‑oriented, and able to motivate engagement teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS or other international accounting standards a plus.
- Some travel may be expected (about 10%).
