Job summary

You will analyze financial standings, forecast assumptions, and industry positioning while interacting with client teams. Proficiency in Excel and data tools is essential for delivering precise findings and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of public accounting or FDD experience.
• CPA preferred or actively pursuing certification.
• Knowledge of forecast and budgeting tools (Adaptive, Anaplan).
• International experience beneficial.
• Experience with Power Query or Alteryx desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial and accounting due diligence for buy-side or sell-side engagements.
• Identify critical deal issues and benchmark performance for clients.
• Perform valuation using DCF, comparables, and transaction comparables.
• Analyze strategic positions and forecast implications.
• Review purchase price allocations and closing working capital.
• Interact with target company personnel and clients.
• Prepare due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings.
• Comfort with advanced Excel for data manipulation.

Our team of highly experienced professionals assists financial executives with their most complex business needs, including Accounting Advisory, Financial Operations, IPO, M&A, and Managed Services.Responsibilities:• Perform financial and accounting due diligence procedures for buy-side or sell-sideengagements.• Identify and communicate (i) critical deal issues and (ii) the strength and weakness ofthe business against industry benchmarks to client management that could impact thepurchase price or the deal structure.• Perform valuation using discounted cash flow, public company comparable, andtransaction comparable methods.• Analyze companies’ strategic positions and corresponding forecasts.• Perform research and industry analyses.• Review purchase price allocations.• Challenge assumptions related to future financial projections.• Identify and address critical post-closing matters to ensure improvements in profitabilityand cash flows.• Interact extensively with personnel of target companies and clients.• Review and prepare due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings.• Assist with the finalization of (i) opening balance sheets of purchase price allocationsand (ii) closing working capital calculations.• Comfortability with advanced Excel functionalities: building flatfiles, pivot tables, macros,and using advanced formulas such as SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, INDIRECT.Desired Skills & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent required• 2-5 years of prior experience in public accounting or FDD required• CPA preferred or actively pursuing completion of certification• Knowledge in forecast and budget tool (Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.)• International experience (beneficial but not required)• Experience with advanced data applications like Power Query and/or Alteryx• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills• Willingness to travel up to 10%Connor Group is committed to celebrating the value of diversity in a globally connected business world.
