Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare company, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager – Commercial to lead high-performing recruiting teams supporting the Cancer Diagnostics division. You will partner with business leaders to attract top talent, deliver an exceptional candidate experience, and evolve TA strategy with data-driven insights.

You will oversee full-cycle recruiting for leadership roles and hard-to-fill positions, align strategies with workforce plans, and implement cost-effective sourcing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 6+ years of full cycle recruiting experience, 3 years of in-house TA experience.
  • Full-cycle recruiting experience within healthcare or adjacent industries across main functions: commercial, manufacturing, scientific, and corporate function.
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders at the director plus level to influence hiring strategies and deliver against recruiting objectives.
  • Subject matter expertise in direct sourcing strategies and recruitment marketing, with a demonstrated ability to engage and convert passive talent.
  • Team leadership experience over a single contributor team or indirect leadership over resources assigned to a project.

  • Drive and execute key projects and expansion initiatives, partnering with local and regional relationship managers and cross-functional stakeholders as needed.
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for leadership roles and critical, hard-to-fill positions from role definition through offer negotiation and leveraging sourcing partners when appropriate.
  • Implement cost-effective recruiting strategies, including direct sourcing initiatives and innovative attraction campaigns to engage and nurture top talent.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager – Commercial who is passionate about leading high‑performing recruiting teams and delivering strategic, consultative talent solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to lead a team of talent acquisition professionals supporting the Abbott Cancer Diagnostics division. In this role, you will partner closely with business leaders and Business HR to attract and hire top talent, deliver a best‑in‑class candidate and hiring manager experience, and leverage data and insights to continuously evolve our TA strategy, all while ensuring strong team engagement and performance.

Abbott's Cancer Diagnostics business was established through the acquisition of Exact Sciences, bringing Exact Sciences' full cancer screening and diagnostics portfolio, including Cologuard, Oncotype DX, Cancerguard, and Oncodetect, into Abbott. Together, we’re advancing the early detection of cancer and the precision oncology tools that guide personalized treatment decisions, helping patients and providers act on cancer earlier and more precisely. Our combined portfolio and global reach allow us to bring life-changing diagnostic technology to more patients, providers, and health systems worldwide.

This position works onsite at our Madison, WI location.

What You’ll Work On

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting for Operations, Quality, R&D roles.
  • Team leadership experience with a strong track record of coaching, mentoring, and developing recruiters.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable talent strategies.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including delivering against timelines and anticipating downstream business impact.

The base pay for this position is $99,300.00 – $198,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
