Job summary

4 Corner Resources is seeking a Systems Software Manager to lead the enterprise technology services for a public-sector organization in Florida. This remote role runs a 3-month contract with a plan to extend to 12 months, working 9am–5pm EST.

You will supervise staff, oversee second-tier support, and partner with IT leadership to drive improvements, manage vendor relationships, and deliver weekly project status updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years supporting enterprise-class technology systems.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Experience with ERP/CRM/HRIS platforms and IIS in Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, operation, and support of infrastructure services, including servers, networks, telephony devices, and related applications.
• Oversee second-tier support for technology systems across the organization.
• Recommend and drive improvements to systems support processes.
• Monitor and analyze system performance and take action to resolve deficiencies.
• Direct staff during testing, monitoring, and installation of new systems and major releases.
• Supervise direct reports, including planning, work assignments, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Make recommendations on staffing, hiring, promotions, and compensation adjustments.
• Manage designated IT vendor relationships and build strong partnerships with internal departments.
• Provide consultative support to the Director of IT Services and deliver weekly project status updates.

4 Corner Resources is hiring a Systems Software Manager for a public-sector organization in Florida. This is an initial 3-month contract, with the intent to extend to 12 months. This role leads the implementation, operation, and support of enterprise technology services, from servers and networks to telephony and line-of-business applications. It is a strong opportunity for a hands-on IT leader who wants to own critical systems, guide a team, and serve as a trusted advisor to IT leadership. This position is remote but must be able to work 9am to 5pm EST.

Systems Software Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation, operation, and support of infrastructure services, including servers, networks, telephony devices, and related applications

Systems Software Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 6+ years supporting enterprise-class technology systems
• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft operating systems
• 6+ years implementing and supporting business technology systems
• 3+ years of supervisory experience
• Hands-on experience supporting technology systems across multiple hardware and software environments
• Experience setting up, configuring, and supporting ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms
• Experience setting up and configuring applications using Internet Information Services (IIS) in a Windows Server environment
• Strong knowledge of internet, mobile device, PC, and network technologies
• Ability to manage end-user expectations, priorities, and deadlines

Systems Software Manager Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of relational database (RDBMS) concepts

Systems Software Manager Details:

• Pay Rate: Starting at $70/hour (W2) (negotiable based on experience)
• MUST be able to work: M-F 9am to 5pm EST
• Duration: Initial 3-month contract, with the intent to extend to 12 months
• Assessment: Candidates may be asked to complete a skills assignment as part of the selection process
