Job summary

4 Corner Resources is hiring multiple Systems Administrators for remote contract roles supporting enterprise Windows and Linux server environments. These are 3-month contracts with potential to extend up to 12 months.

Open to candidates nationwide in the United States; one opening requires residence within 49 miles of Orlando, FL while others are nationwide. You will administer and monitor servers, investigate issues, deploy new systems, mentor technicians, and write documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise-class systems and environments.
• 5-7 years maintaining routers, switches, or wireless devices.
• Hands-on Windows Server and Linux administration experience.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL.
• Current certifications listed in the ad.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor enterprise server systems and logs.
• Investigate warnings and errors; develop fixes and action plans.
• Handle incidents through a problem management queue.
• Deploy new server systems per documented plans and change control.
• Design and plan project implementations based on requirements.
• Coordinate vendor and onsite staff support and repairs.
• Mentor technicians and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Write/update process documentation and maintain records.
• Provide bi-weekly status updates on active projects.

These are 3-month contract opportunities with potential to extend up to 12 months. It's a strong fit for experienced, certified administrators who want to own day-to-day server operations, lead implementations, and mentor technicians while working a standard weekday schedule.

Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor enterprise server systems, reviewing application logs and system consoles to keep services running reliably
• Investigate warnings, errors, and reported issues to find root cause, then build action plans and document, test, and implement fixes
• Work incoming requests and incidents through a problem management queue
• Deploy new server systems following documented plans and formal change control
• Design and plan project implementations based on business requirements, best practices, and vendor guidance
• Coordinate support and repair work with vendors and onsite staff
• Mentor and train technicians and contribute to a knowledge-sharing team culture
• Write new process documentation and keep existing documentation current
• Provide at least bi-weekly status updates on active projects
• Recommend improvements to support processes and services

Systems Administrator Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of IT experience supporting multiple enterprise-class systems and environments
• 5 to 7 years of experience maintaining routers, switches, or wireless devices
• Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining Windows Server, ideally 2016 through 2022
• Hands‑on experience deploying and maintaining Linux, ideally RHEL 8
• Experience supporting and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
• Current certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), CompTIA Network+, Nutanix Certified Professional - Multicloud Infrastructure (NCP-MCI), and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
• Strong troubleshooting methodology and clear written and verbal communication with end users, peers, and management
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening with fingerprinting

Systems Administrator Details:

• Location: One opening requires residence within 49 miles of Orlando, FL; two openings are open to candidates anywhere in the U.S.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern
• Availability: Video interviews expected the week of November 9, 2026; start within approximately two weeks of selection
• Pay Rate: Starting at $60/hour
• Duration: 3-month contract with potential to extend up to 12 months
• Additional: Candidates may be asked to complete a technical skills assessment
