Job Summary

The Supply Chain Manager will lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations, for internal manufacturing, vendor management, and MRP planning. This role is critical in supporting commercial operations, ensuring alignment with production schedules, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual will be the SAP SME and own master data.

Location: Remote/Morrisville, NC (with travel to Morrisville, NC: 25% - 40%)

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize internal commercial supply chain operations.
  • Lead internal manufacturing coordination, ensuring alignment with inventory and production forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain detailed supply strategies for critical materials, including for Phase 2b/3 clinical trials that come to the internal manufacturing facility.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, audits, and performance metrics.
  • Implement and manage MRP planning systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Finance teams.
  • Support quality oversight for internal and external manufacturing parts.
  • Drive change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and manage knowledge transfer activities, including meeting minutes and action tracking.
  • Interact with the SMPA global Supply Chain teams
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8–12 years of experience in supply chain roles ideally within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of GMP.
  • Proven experience in standing up MRP planning and supply chain systems.
  • Experience in SAP and ERP implementation
  • Experience managing global vendor relationships and resolving supply chain issues.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global vendor communications.
  • Willingness to work in a fast pace environment with changing timelines.
  • If remote, willingness to travel to the Morrisville NC facility – 25% - 40%

The base salary range for this role is $115,920 to $144,900. Base salary is part of our total rewards package which also includes the opportunity for merit-based salary increases, short incentive plan participation, eligibility for our 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances and leaves provided in line with your work state. Our robust time-off policy includes flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays plus additional time off for a shut-down period during the last week of December, 80 hours of paid sick time upon hire and each year thereafter. Total compensation, including base salary to be offered, will depend on elements unique to each candidate, including candidate experience, skills, education and other factors permitted by law.
