$150,000.00 - $194,000.00

What’s the role?

We are looking for a Manager of Strategic Finance to support our General & Administrative Org. In this role, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing strategic leadership to partners across our People & Workplace (P&W) and Legal teams.
2. Financial modeling and analysis.
3. Supporting ad hoc projects and requests.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Strategic Finance. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards at Etsy.

This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity. Candidates living within a reasonable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office may be prioritized. Learn more about our work modes and safety policies here.

What does the day-to-day look like?

1. Act as the key financial business partner for Etsy’s People and Workplace (P&W) and Legal functions.
2. Work with the Senior Director of Strategic Finance to build company-wide budgets and forecasts.
3. Assist in forecast and budget model preparation, maintenance, and quality control.
4. Develop meaningful analytics and reporting for our Executive leaders.
5. Collaborate with Strategic Finance colleagues and other teams to produce monthly and quarterly financial reviews for the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
6. Perform ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and team support as necessary.
7. Mentor, develop, and manage a Strategic Finance Analyst.
8. Note: Your role may encompass additional tasks, and job duties may evolve over time at Etsy’s discretion or as required by law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role:

1. 5+ years of finance experience, including financial planning, business analysis, investment banking, or related fields, with proven skills in financial modeling and analysis tools.
2. 1+ years of managerial experience.
3. Experience leading or significantly contributing to budgeting and forecasting processes.
4. Strong understanding of GAAP; familiarity with e-Commerce and technology is advantageous.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Docs (Excel/Sheets and PowerPoint/Slides).
6. Experience with Looker, Workday Financial Management, or Host Analytics is a plus.
7. Ability to communicate insights effectively to senior executives verbally, visually, and in writing.
8. Alignment with Etsy’s vision, mission, and values.
