Varosync is pioneering the integration of chrono-pharmacokinetics into drug development, moving beyond static dosing to align drug design and administration with the body’s circadian rhythms. By embedding time-of-day effects into early-stage PK/PD modeling, we aim to improve efficacy and safety, especially for chronic diseases like hypertension and diabetes. Our advisory team will help translate these insights into trial protocols and computational tools that optimize dosing schedules, reduce adverse events, and drive better patient outcomes, demonstrating to investors and partners that time-aware pharmacology is the future of precision medicine.

Role Description

• Advise on the integration of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic principles into time-series machine-learning pipelines
• Apply mechanistic and semi-mechanistic PK/PD and pharmacometrics approaches to translate preclinical findings into clinical trial design, integrating biological, exposure, and clinical inputs
• Guide optimal sampling schedules, dose-timing protocols, and patient stratification strategies aligned with circadian hypotheses and regulatory guidance
• Represent our Varosync externally through publications, conference presentations, and leadership in industry consortia or trade organizations
• Communicate quantitative PK/PD insights and advocate model-based decision-making within project teams and to external partners
• Evaluate discrepancies between model predictions and observed outcomes, recommending refinements to ML and pharmacometrics models

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, MD-PhD, or equivalent in Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics
• Minimum 5 years industry experience in PK/PD modeling, clinical pharmacology, or pharmacometrics—preferably in cardiometabolic therapeutics (diabetes, obesity, hypertension)
• Proven expertise in model-informed drug development (MIDD), including protocol design, regulatory submissions, and translational alignment
• Excellent communication skills, with experience translating complex quantitative concepts for technical and non-technical audiences
• Prior advisory or board-level experience preferred
