Job summary

First American is seeking a Manager, Strategic Business Analysis to lead a team of BAs/BSAs and drive strategic analysis for key initiatives. You will collaborate across business, technology, PMO, product, design and engineering to define requirements, document processes, and implement solutions that align with business goals.

You will mentor analysts, establish best practices, and help build a Center of Excellence for the BA practice, supporting digital transformation in a complex agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• CBAP or IIBA Certifications, PBA, Agile certifications a plus.
• Demonstrated experience as a Lead BA or Business Analysis Manager with supervisory duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of BAs/BSAs leading analysis for various programs.
• Collaborate with business, technology and external partners to identify needs and provide analysis support.
• Lead and mentor in best practices for business analysis, including process improvement, automation, data and product initiatives.
• Oversee documentation such as API, process maps, business rules, user stories, and data validation.
• Provide leadership and reports to inform roadmaps, budgets and strategy.
• Lead creation of a Center of Excellence for the BA practice.

This role will manage a team of BAs/BSAs, lead analysis on key initiatives and act as a liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure project success.The Manager will work closely with their leaders within the Transformation & OCM- Strategic Analysis team to implement the group’s vision for developing a center of excellence for the team and implementing industry best practices for the discipline of Business and Systems Analysis.What You'll DoManage a team of BAs and BSAs leading analysis for various business process, product and transformation programsWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams from business, technology and external partners to identify business needs, and ensure appropriate analysis support is provided to meet business and system goals for various product and process initiativesProvide business analysis expertise and act as a Lead Analyst to analyze and document business needs on key initiativesLead and mentor team in utilizing best practices in business analysis in efforts related to process improvement, automation, data and product initiativesOversee the creation and maintenance of required supporting documentation following best practices (e.g. API, process maps, business rules, user stories, data validation etc.).Is a strategic partner, acts as a liaison between the business, OCM, PMO, Product, Design, and Engineering teams.Sets and manages team goals and objectives for day-to-day operations and projectsReceives analysis support requests, assesses project needs and works with management to plan and assign analysis supportParticipates in hiring process, writes and conducts performance reviews, manages disciplinary actions, and other HR activities for the team as requiredProvides constructive feedback and mentors the team to support their knowledge development within Business Analysis and Business Systems AnalysisProvides guidance to team in identifying business problems, completing gap analysis, researching alternatives, identifying business and system requirements, driving solutions, testing to confirm, gaining consensus, and implementing solutions for required applications.Participates in required stakeholder and partner meetings and provides subject matter expertise from a business analysis perspectiveProvides inputs to leadership and provides necessary reports and presentations to help inform roadmaps, budgets, resource planning and strategyLeads the creation of a Center of Excellence for the Business Analysis Practice.What You'll BringBachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceAdvanced degree preferredCertifications: CBAP or IIBA Certifications, PBA, Agile certifications a plusDemonstrated experience as a Lead BA or Business Analysis Manager with supervisory duties.Strong people leadership capabilities with an ability to influence and inspire changeStrong Business Analysis expertise with experience and knowledge in creating and maintaining analysis documentation, including but not limited to: process mapping, requirements elicitation, API analysis, writing test cases, capturing business rules, data analysis etc.Experience in leading analysis for digital transformation programs within complex agile environmentsExperience in collaborating with business, product and engineering teams to identify and translate business requirements into systems definitions and solutionsMust be a strong and confident communicator with exceptional abilities in presenting, influencing and collaborating with internal and external partners at management level for successStrong experience in Business Analysis and Business Systems Analysis methodologies, best practices and industry standardsStandard Microsoft office skillsetExcellent organization and Program/ project management skillsKnowledge of Title insurance & settlement services operations is a plusPay Range: $112,400.00 - $149,800.00 AnnuallyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
