Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Manager Sterile Processing to oversee daily SPD operations, staff scheduling, and performance management in a Magnet-designated hospital.

You will lead physician rounds, drive budget adherence, and manage quality metrics while developing staff through education and mentorship in a high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
• 3 Years clinical experience in a sterile processing department with some supervisory or leadership functions required; CST experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Department operations: ensure daily SPD operations fall within AMII guidelines.
• Staff schedules and performance management.
• Engage physicians: daily rounding with physicians.
• Finance and efficiency: meet supply and FTE budgets.
• Quality metrics: develop and oversee department PI projects and patient safety.
• Education: ongoing staff development and training.

Experience

• 3 Years clinical experience in a sterile processing department including some supervisory or leadership functions Required OR Experience
• Strongly Preferred CST Experience a Plus

Licenses and Certifications

• CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician Upon Hire Required
• CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician Upon Hire Required
• CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution Upon Hire Required

• Leadership skills, good communication skills, problem solving; must perform daily operations within all areas of Sterile Processing Department.
