Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for weekend shifts at the Fort Worth facility. The role involves instrument decontamination, assembly, packaging, tracking, and sterilization in a high‑reliability hospital environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Wraps/contains instruments and trays.
• Tracks instrument trays using the tracking system.
• Performs decontamination according to policy and procedure.
• Cleans instruments manually and with automated cleaners (Ultrasonic washer, instrument washer, cart washer).
• Operates washers and sterilizers following manufacturer instructions and department policy.
• Loads sterilizers properly and monitors processing steps.
• Scans items into proper sterilizer load and stores finished goods.
• Maintains infection control concepts and handles chemicals safely.
• Assists customers and monitors supplies as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
