Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist to join our growing hospital team in Fort Worth, TX. You will provide clinical pharmacy services, verify medication orders, and support medication distribution across inpatient units.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and staff, ongoing professional development, and cost containment while ensuring patient safety and high-quality care. Required qualifications include Pharm.D.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy required.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) required.
  • CLIAFE compliance for foreign education equivalency.
  • Pharmacist (PHAR) upon hire required.
  • PGY1 residency and 3+ years hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • English proficiency, computer skills, and basic math required.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively, build positive professional relationships, and model teamwork.
  • Timely support of medication distribution including order verification and technician oversight.
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services for safe and efficient patient care.
  • Ensure accuracy of own work and maintain required competencies and documentation.
  • Support quality improvement and patient safety programs.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and growth.
  • Help minimize pharmaceutical costs and identify process efficiencies.
  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work hours:


  • 40 hours a week. Rotating AM/PM. Every third weekend staffing.

Here’s What You Need:


  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy Required

  • Other Pharm D. Required

  • CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required.

  • PHAR- Pharmacist upon hire required.

  • PGY1 residency training and at least 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience are highly preferred

  • Must be proficient in written and verbal English language communication skills, computer proficient and possess basic math skills.


Here’s What You Will Do:

  • Timely and accurate support of medication distribution including medication order verification and oversight of pharmacy technician responsibilities.

  • Provision of clinical pharmacy services for the safe and efficient patient care.

  • Ensuring the accuracy of one's own work as well as maintaining required competencies and other documentation. Consistent support of the department's quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives is also required.

  • Ongoing professional development and growth.

  • Not only the management of one's own time but shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies.

  • Respond to medical emergencies per hospital policy as available.

  • Other duties as assigned.
