Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to join the Central Sterile Processing team. This full-time role on the evenings shift (2-10:30pm) focuses on instrument tray preparation, scanning, wrapping, and tracking within our hospital.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and CSPDT/CBSPD/CRCST certifications on hire, with 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred. A collaborative, growth-oriented environment with strong benefits awaits at Texas Health Plano.

• Detail oriented with precise instrument handling and tracking.

Responsibilities

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label.
• Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays.
• Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray.
• Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the instrument tracking system.
• Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method.
• Scans prepared items into correct sterilizer load.

Work hours: Full Time; Evenings; 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday; 2-10:30pm with on call rotating weekends

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred
• Recent sterile processing experience a plus
• CSPDT – Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician upon hire required or
• CBSPD – Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution upon hire required or
• CRCST – Certified Registered Central Service Technician upon hire required
• Detail oriented

What You Will Do

• Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label
