Job summary

Hollywood Software LLC in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to lead hands-on development of large-scale client applications and distributed systems while mentoring technical teams for reliability and long‑term maintainability.

You will own technical strategy, drive architecture, implement authentication workflows, oversee builds and deployments, and collaborate across groups to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions given Azure and cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; 5+ years of systems development experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of systems development experience.
• Hands-on experience using Claude/Claude Code and AI-assisted software development tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, and code reviews.
• 1-2 years’ experience supervising and/or mentoring others.
• Experience aggregating data and handling large data sets.

• Strong expertise in React and Redux; CSS, NPM/Node, and Webpack experience.
• Implementing authentication with MSAL and/or Okta.

• Deployments to cloud environments; App Registrations; File Storage.
