Job summary

StevenDouglas is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to lead full‑stack delivery from requirements to deployment. You’ll build REST APIs with C#/.NET Core, Angular front‑ends, and SQL Server data models while collaborating with business stakeholders to turn needs into technical solutions.

You’ll own architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and ensure quality through automated tests, security best practices, and CI/CD deployments in cloud environments (AWS or Azure).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development, including 3+ years building REST APIs in C#/.NET Core
• Expertise in .NET, including MVC and web services
• Expertise in Angular
• Proficiency in Git
• Experience writing complex SQL queries using joins, subqueries, indexes and functions
• Advanced use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Codex, including:
• Task decomposition and context management
• Running parallel subagents with clearly scoped responsibilities
• Validating agent output through automated tests
• AI-assisted code review for correctness, security and maintainability, per company code and data protection policies
• Experience designing, developing or supporting cloud architectures on AWS or Azure
• Strong analytical skills, with a focus on quality and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self‑starter who leads projects with minimal direction
• Security‑focused programming skills, including OWASP experience
• Experience in an Agile, Kanban or Scrum environment

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack business applications, REST APIs and system integrations using Angular, C#/.NET and SQL Server
• Turn business needs into technical designs, development tasks and acceptance criteria
• Estimate effort, communicate trade-offs and deliver incremental improvements through iterative planning
• Write maintainable code with automated unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests
• Validate functionality, performance and reliability before release
• Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, views and data models for performance and data integrity
• Improve business workflows and automate repetitive tasks
• Refactor applications to reduce technical debt
• Document application architecture, API contracts, technical decisions and support procedures
• Use AI tools such as Claude Code or Codex to break down complex tasks, run parallel subagents across implementation, testing and review, and validate their output
• Use AI-assisted review alongside peer code reviews to catch defects, security risks and maintainability issues, applying independent judgment
• Support Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines and repeatable application and database deployments per release management standards
• Apply secure coding, access controls and data protection per company security policies
• Provide Tier 2 application support, using logs and monitoring to diagnose issues and working with stakeholders and vendors to fix root causes

The Senior .NET Developer is a senior individual contributor who leads software projects from requirements through deployment and support. You’ll work directly with business stakeholders to turn their needs into technical solutions, and design, build and maintain applications using Angular, C#/.NET, REST APIs and Microsoft SQL Server.

You’ll combine hands‑on development with project ownership: clarifying requirements, estimating work, coordinating delivery, communicating progress and risks, and ensuring quality. You’ll make application‑level design decisions within engineering standards and partner with the Software Development Manager on architecture and priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development & Delivery
