What you’ll do

• Lead a high-performing backend engineering team (Kotlin & Python).
• Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Design, Operations, and other engineering teams to develop a technical roadmap that aligns with customer and business needs.
• Coach, develop, retain, and provide feedback to team members.
• Maintain high technical standards with a focus on longevity and simplicity.
• Foster a team culture centered on innovation, accountability, empathy, and execution.
• Coordinate with other engineering leaders across Affirm.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Grade: P

Equity Grade: 13

Base salary ranges: $200,000 - $275,000 depending on location, with additional benefits including equity, health coverage, stipends, and time off.
