Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a qualified automation engineer to design and develop automated tests for our trading application. You will document testing processes, share knowledge with QA engineers, and lead discussions to clarify requirements with the QA team.

Troubleshooting test environments and data is essential, as is collaborating with development, product management, and support teams. You will gain in-depth knowledge of new systems, generate and analyze data to validate components, and

• Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related field and 72 months of progressive experience.
• Experience includes Java, automation testing, SQL scripting, testing tools, Grafana reporting, Agile, and CI/CD setup.

Duties: Design and develop automation code for the trading application. Facilitate documentation and process flow for all testing processes and systems, sharing deep knowledge with QA engineers across our portfolio of applications. Lead discussions to clarify requirements with the functional QA team. Troubleshoot test environment and test data issues and debug automation code. Identify work that needs to be done in our software process to help identify bugs for repair and regression prior to a release to our customers. Collaborate cross-functionally with development, product management, and the support teams. Gain indepth knowledge of how new systems function and generate and analyze data to validate various components and modules of the application.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

What you have

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include 72 months of experience involving the following: Coding in Java; Automation Testing; SQL Query Scripting; Handling Testing Management Tools; Grafana Machine Learning Reporting; Adapting to Agile Methodology; and Setup in CI/CD Pipeline.
