Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation in Westlake, TX seeks an experienced QA engineer to drive automated testing across multiple web applications. You will design and maintain functional and regression suites using Cypress, Selenium, and Playwright, and implement hybrid automation with BDD and POM.

You will also develop AI-driven testing approaches, support secure agile practices, and contribute to UAT with stakeholders. A strong focus on data-driven coverage and rapid issue resolution is essential.

Qualifications

• Building and maintaining automated functional & regression test suites using Cypress, Selenium, and Playwright across multiple web applications.
• Implement hybrid/keyword-driven automation test frameworks using BDD and POM frameworks, expand scenarios, and track test reports using Allure and Cucumber reports.
• Designing AI-driven automated testing solutions, including data-driven coverage optimization and analytics-based failure detection.
• Supporting secure agile practices, including SAST-aligned workflows and security regression testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Tracking defects, validated fixes, and providing QA insights, build RCA, and validation with Product Owner and stakeholders for UAT.
• Developing Java Mock Server to implement mock WebSocket services for complex system testing.
• Producing UAT/Cutover plans, test plans, test cases, and traceable test evidence for releases using Jira and Rally tools.

Responsibilities

Duties

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of product lifecycles as well as how technical systems work and interact.
• Automate tests using Cypress, Sorry-Cypress, or Playwright.
• Conduct quality code reviews of Cypress tests.
• Develop and support Mock Server WebSocket services development.
• Possess the ability to find gaps in testing and provide solutions for closing gaps.
• Perform problem-solving and root cause analysis when defects occur.
• Possess strong analytical, organizational, problem- solving, and decision- making skills.
• Work effectively in a team setting as well as independently with minimal error and guidance.
• Act as a subject matter expert for various projects and initiatives.
• Possess experience in financial services supporting a React/Typescript trading web application.
• Hold the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner and provide superior client service.

Requires Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 72 months of progressive, post-Bachelor’s experience in a related occupation.

• Building and maintaining automated functional & regression test suites using Cypress, Selenium, and Playwright across multiple web applications
• Implement hybrid/keyword-driven automation test frameworks using BDD and POM frameworks, expand scenarios, and track test reports using Allure and Cucumber reports
• Designing and implementing AI-driven and data-intelligent automated testing solutions, including adaptive test execution, data-driven coverage optimization, and analytics-based failure detection to improve regression efficiency and software quality
• Supporting secure agile practices, including static security analysis validation (SAST-aligned workflows) and security regression testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Tracking defects, validated fixes, and supported dev teams with QA insights, build RCA case, engage with Product Owner and stakeholders to conduct validation on UAT
• Developing Java Mock Server to implement mock WebSocket services for complex system testing
• Producing UAT/Cutover plans, test plans, test cases, and traceable test evidence for releases using Jira and Rally tools.
