Team Summary

The Visa Spend Clarity Operations and Infrastructure group focuses on site and data reliability, supporting product development and customer support across multiple countries.

What does a Reliability Engineer Manager do at Visa?

You will oversee a team of SREs and Data Reliability Engineers, driving technical excellence, operational robustness, and system scalability. You will work with large-scale systems and emerging technologies like generative AI, fostering a culture of reliability and innovation.

Responsibilities include:

1. Leading and mentoring engineering teams to foster collaboration and excellence.
2. Developing strategies to improve reliability, security, and compliance, leveraging automation and innovative tools.
3. Overseeing system monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization.
4. Collaborating with engineering and product teams to deliver value and enhance customer experience.
5. Using data insights to improve processes and incorporate the latest AI advancements.

This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days in the office weekly.

Qualifications

Basic: 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD.

Preferred: 6+ years with a Bachelor's, 4+ with an advanced degree, or up to 3 with a PhD; experience in software development, infrastructure, or operations; leadership experience; expertise in Microsoft stack and AWS; strong communication skills.
