GEP is looking for a Manager /Senior Manager – Construction Services with a strong Technical andCommercial background to support complex capital and construction programsfor a key client.

This role sits at the intersectionof engineering, construction procurement and consulting. We are lookingfor someone who can connect engineering requirements with sourcing andcommercial strategy, with a command of reviewing technical drawingsand specifications, developing sourcing packages, running competitive bids,evaluating contractors and equipment suppliers, and driving commercial outcomesthrough an effective procurement strategy. In addition, this rolehas an expectation to think strategically about large sourcing programs forcapital expansion business plans.

Experience supporting datacenter or mission-critical construction is highly preferred, althoughprofessionals from complex capital projects, industrial or large-scaleinfrastructure environments may also be relevant.

What You’ll Do

• Lead procurement and sourcing activities across constructionservices, MEP packages, equipment and capital projects.
• Identify estimated volumes, timelines, and logisticalbottlenecks with engineering, QA, production and testing.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, scopesof work, specifications and other technical documentation tounderstand project and sourcing requirements.
• Translate engineering and construction requirementsinto RFP packages, sourcing strategies, bid structures and supplierevaluation frameworks and developing a long-term strategic plan forfuture sourcing activities.
• Manage end-to-end RFI/RFP processes, includingcontractor/supplier identification, bid evaluation, commercial analysis,negotiations and award recommendations.
• Conduct both technical and commercial evaluationof supplier and contractor proposals, partnering closely with engineering,construction and project stakeholders.
• Challenge specifications and supplier proposals whereappropriate and identify opportunities for value engineering, costoptimization and commercial improvement.
• Lead contractor and supplier negotiations acrosspricing, scope, commercial terms, change orders and project requirements.
• Assess supplier capability, commercialcompetitiveness, delivery risks and project dependencies.
• Advise client stakeholders on sourcing strategy,supplier recommendations, risks and commercial decisions.
• Bring a consulting mindset to client engagements,structuring ambiguous problems, developing recommendations andcommunicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Partner with engineering, construction, projectmanagement and procurement teams to drive projects from technicalrequirement through commercial execution.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical,Civil, Construction Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• Strong experience across construction, capitalprojects, engineering procurement, EPC/EPCM or major infrastructureprograms.
• Demonstrated strategic sourcing/procurementexperience, including RFP execution, bid analysis, supplier/contractorevaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineeringdrawings, technical specifications and construction documentation.
• Strong understanding of the relationship between technicalscope, supplier capability, project execution and commercial outcomes.
• Experience working directly with contractors,subcontractors, engineering teams and construction/project stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen combined with the ability toengage credibly in technical discussions.
• Structured problem-solving, stakeholder managementand executive communication skills consistent with a consultingenvironment.

Salary Range : $120,000 – $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Additional Compensation : Eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to individual and company performance.

The Profile We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a Technicaland Commercially focused professional, an engineer who understandssourcing, or an experienced sourcing professional with an engineeringbackground and strong technical construction knowledge.

You should be equally comfortable reviewinga drawing or technical scope, structuring an RFP, evaluating contractor bids,challenging technical/commercial assumptions and presenting a recommendation tothe client.
