Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Manager of Software Development for Helianthus to lead teams building platform primitives for AWS scale. You will drive architecture enabling seamless composition, from discovery to fixes, while delivering production-grade services and strong security posture.

You will mentor tmanagers, align stakeholders across AWS Security, and ensure reliable, measurable delivery with a focus on long-term platform sustainability and customer impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management
• 7+ years of experience in engineering teams
• 3+ years designing or architecting scalable systems
• 8+ years leading multi-tier web services
• Experience partnering with product or program management teams
• Strong communication with users, technical teams and senior leadership (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Establish and drive a unified multi-year technical roadmap across Helianthus primitives
• Lead transition from prototype to production with engineering excellence standards
• Develop and coach managers for leadership impact
• Own cross-organizational stakeholder engagement and drive adoption across AWS Security
• Establish scalable mechanisms to audit customer experience and cross-team collaboration
