Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of multi-engineer software projects, owning your team's architectural direction and ensuring systems are well-designed, performant, and secure.
• Collaborate with peers on related teams to define technology strategy for problems where the business direction is understood but the technical approach is not, balancing short-term needs against long-term extensibility.
• Write exemplary code that demonstrates best practices in organization, clarity, error handling, and documentation, while driving adoption of engineering best practices across your team.
• Mentor and coach engineers on your team and beyond, providing technical guidance and career development support to strengthen overall team capability.
• Design and maintain operational excellence for your systems, including alarms, telemetry, runbooks, and retrospective processes, while proactively identifying and resolving root causes of recurring issues.
