Job summary

NetJets in Columbus is seeking a Scheduling Manager to lead scheduling teams, driving coaching and performance development to build a respectful, accountable environment.

You will coordinate with Capacity, Maintenance, and EJM teams to ensure the right crews and aircraft are available, and manage non-standard events with Operations while contributing to technology initiatives shaping scheduling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Logistics or Data Analytics.
  • 6-8 years of experience in scheduling or related roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches, develops and mentors scheduling employees to improve performance.
  • Manages performance, behavior and development to mitigate risks.
  • Coordinates with Capacity, Maintenance, and EJM teams to ensure assets meet demand.
  • Plans non-standard events with Operations and supports offsite needs.
  • Provides input on technology initiatives affecting Scheduling.

Purpose of Position

The Scheduling Manager provides a strong leadership presence to the scheduling teams through regular check-ins, team meetings, and in-the-moment feedback to develop, train, and coach employees to perform their duties more efficiently and effectively while creating a respectful, trusting, and accountable environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Creates and achieves departmental goals by coaching, developing and mentoring employees.

Manages employee performance, behavior, and development to mitigate foreseeable risks. Identify and nurture high-performing individuals for succession planning.

Coordinates with Operational Capacity, Maintenance, and EJM teams to ensure the correct number of assets (crews and aircraft) are available to meet demand.

Manages, coordinates, and plans non-standard events with the Operations team which may include traveling for offsite support when necessary.

Provides input and feedback to the Operations and Solutions Managers on the development, testing, and training of all technology initiatives that directly impact the Scheduling Team.
