Job summary

The Freeman Company seeks a Safety Field Operations leader to promote a culture of safety across Las Vegas show-sites and offices. You will implement Freeman’s Safety Program and guide a field team to prevent incidents and injuries while supporting events and operations in the Las Vegas area.

Ideal candidates have a background in safety and loss prevention, strong communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. This is an in-office, full-time role based in Las Vegas, NV.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience also acceptable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing.
  • Prior work experience in safety and loss prevention.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and well organized.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and maintains a safe, secure, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
  • Applies experience and knowledge to implement and monitor Freeman’s Safety Program in compliance with standards.
  • Responsible for, or assists in hiring, training, and managing Safety Field Operations team for the assigned Freeman location.
  • Collaborates with Executive Leaders, General Managers, and Branch Management on driving incident/accident/injury prevention.
  • Ensures events produced by Freeman personnel are supported by Safety Field Operations for pre-loss prevention.
  • Guides Safety Field Operations in post-loss investigations of incidents and injuries.
  • Takes the lead role in major accidents and investigations for hearings and insurance investigations.
  • Studies and analyzes loss data to share with key leaders to drive prevention.

Summary

Create safety awareness culture among Freeman employees that promotes our purpose of connecting people in meaningful ways by eliminating or minimizing risk exposures through the use of a comprehensive business partner approach to anticipate, identify, prioritize, manage and monitor the portfolio of risks impacting our business and our industry. We continuously strive to provide an environment free from all harm by promoting a positive safety culture which puts our employees and customers at the center of everything we do. This position will support our Field Safety team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Las Vegas, NV.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Promotes and maintains a safe, secure, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
  • Applies experience and knowledge to implement and monitor Freeman’s Safety Program in compliance with standards set by the Company as well as federal, state, city, and local requirements.
  • Responsible for, or assists in hiring, training, and managing Safety Field Operations team for the assinged Freeman location.
  • Parnters / Collaborates with Executive Leaders, General Managers, and Branch Management teams on driving incident/accident/injury prevention(pre-loss & post-loss).
  • Ensures events produced by Freeman personnel at various venues within assigned location are supported by the Safety Field Operations team in an effort to drive pre-loss prevention by identifying physical or behavioral hazards. Recommends corrective actions or prevention measures where needed.
  • Guides Safety Field Operations team in post-loss prevention investigations of incidents, accidents, and injuries.
  • Takes the lead role in major accidents and investigations where the preparation of material and evidence could be used in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations.
  • Studies and analyzes loss data to share with key leaders wthin the assinged location to drive prevention efforts.
  • Colloborates with senior leadership to communicate ongoing safety concerns, training needs, and participation in Freeman’s Safety program.
  • Works with direct reports and Freeman’s insurance carrier to cut down on injured employee lost time including the utilization of Freeman’s Return to Work program.
  • Ensures DOT compliancy for commercial and non-commercial driver qualificaiton at assigned location.
  • Ensures compliancy in maintaining safety files and records within assigned locations.
  • Represents Freeman in the community and/or in industry safety groups.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college or university is preferred; High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly and professionally, verbally and in written form
  • Prior work experience in safety and loss prevention
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and well organized
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent customer service skills
