Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of management experience in a labor/field operations setting.
  • Experience managing under collective bargaining agreements and multi-site teams.
  • Strong data analytics skills and ability to translate insights into actions.
  • Proven communication, organizational, and safety compliance capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling for show-site labor, including union and contract staff.
  • Oversee team relations, attendance, attire, and customer service quality.
  • Coordinate with Directors to determine labor needs per event.
  • Monitor labor usage against budgets and adjust as needed.
  • Lead safety initiatives, enforce OSHA policies, and report incidents.
  • Log timecards and maintain records for payroll and billing.
  • Assist CAD-related tasks for Hotel Services and Branch Sales as required.

Summary

It is the responsibility of the Manager Labor Control to manage the scheduling and Team Member Relations function within the facility to ensure effective team member/labor relations. Professionally interacts with customers, team members, and third-party vendor/partner representatives to provide the highest level of service excellence. Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety policies and regulations, holding self and team accountable, actively communicating safety expectations, and supporting continuous improvement in safety practices.

This positionwill supportourEvent & Exhibit Services team.The positionfollows anin-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-sitebased out of Las Vegas, NV.

  • Manage and supervise collective bargaining, vendor, and part time team members while on show site, including hiring, scheduling, discipline and ensuring a quality work product.
  • Manage the labor pool to ensure adherence to company policies and standards particularly concerning, customer service, attire, and attendance.
  • Consult with the Director of Show site Operations and Department Heads to determine qualifications and quantity of labor required for each event.
  • Monitor suggested labor requirements and respond accordingly when they exceed planned budgets.
  • Partner with appropriate Department Heads regarding full time team member assignments for local events.
  • Assign qualified part-time show team members for local events and schedule Union or Contract labor as needed to produce local events.
  • Submit timecards to Payroll for all part time and union team members.
  • Log all team members timecards and maintain these records for the purpose of payment and billing.
  • Maintain and update the evaluation database for all part-time show team members.
  • Assist with CAD diagrams for Hotel Services and Branch Sales departments when required.
  • Communicate and reinforce company safety objectives, programs, and policies within the team. Ensure employees complete required training and understand their safety responsibilities.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and applicable OSHA regulations.
  • Investigate and document workplace accidents, near misses, and hazards promptly, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Lead by example by encouraging open communication on safety concerns and fostering accountability for maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Track and review safety performance metrics, using insights to support decision-making and corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelors Degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum two years of management experience required.
  • Previous experience managing under a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Previous experience managing a multi-site workforce preferred.
  • Previous call center experience preferred.
  • Strong data analytics skills with the ability to identify trends, diagnose issues, and implement solutions required.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into effective problem resolution required.
  • Strong communication, organizational, motivational, and delegation skills.
  • Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and applicable OSHA requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply and uphold safety policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and contribute to a proactive safety culture that reduces incidents and improves safety outcomes.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
