Job summary

Lambert's Cable Splicing Co. is seeking an experienced, full-time Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs across utility construction and telecommunications projects. Travel is required.

You will develop and implement safety plans, enforce policies, assess risks, conduct training, inspect operations, investigate incidents, and report on safety metrics. Proficiency in Excel and strong reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Safety Manager.
• Five years of safety-related experience in utility construction and/or telecommunications.
• Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to produce reports and develop relevant policies.
• Strong PC skills including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace per legal guidelines.
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and compliance.
• Conduct training and presentations on health and safety and accident prevention.
• Monitor compliance by inspecting employees and operations.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
• Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of healthy and safety
• Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
• Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
• Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
• Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
• Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
• Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
• Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
