Job summary

Harris Regional Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Infusion to join our team on a PRN basis. Shifts include 8-hour or 10-hour options, starting early morning.

The Infusion unit supports general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, and outpatient services; this role emphasizes patient assessment, timely interventions, and accurate documentation. Qualified candidates hold an NC/compact RN license, an associate degree in nursing, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within six months.

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina (or compact) RN license.
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • One year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

Job Type:PRN | DaysSchedule:8hr (6:30am-3:00pm) or10hr (6:30am-5:00pm) shifts, PRN - as needed.

With dedicated Surgeons, Nurses and Surgical Technologists, you will gain experience in areas such as General Surgery, OB/GYN, Ortho/Sports Medicine, ENT, Cataracts, Pain, Podiatry, Urology, Bronchoscopies, Endoscopy, Dental Extractions and Peds Dental Restorations. Also included in our services is Outpatient Infusion and Pre-anesthesia Testing.


How you'll contribute

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:



  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

  • AHA ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.

  • One year of experience preferred

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
