We are seeking a motivated and experienced Manager, Reporting & Receiving Materials.
The Reporting and Receiving Materials Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the receiving process, raw material warehouse, inventory management, and replenishment to maximize productivity. This includes scheduling shipments between manufacturing plants, managing the flow of goods, and optimizing warehouse space. The role also ensures inventory accuracy through cycle counting routines to maintain precise perpetual records of warehouse materials.
Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Utilize ERP reports and inventory concepts to plan and manage raw material, WIP, and inventory levels aligned with production needs.
- Ensure the availability of all necessary ingredients and materials for production.
- Collaborate with corporate purchasing on replenishment, maintaining proper inventory loads, process compliance, and pricing.
- Oversee the timely unloading, receiving, storage, and delivery of materials to production areas.
- Maintain inventory and product loss control, coordinate shipping and receiving, and adhere to safety and operational guidelines.
- Achieve cycle count standards and work towards cycle count certification.
- Maintain and report on inventory accuracy, cycle count metrics, and scrap processing.
- Implement and enforce standard work procedures across functions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in all areas.
- Lead material replenishment activities, ensuring timely delivery to production lines as per instructions.
- Work with other department managers (Production, QA, Sanitation, Safety) to meet service levels while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Provide leadership in staff development, motivation, and team management to ensure efficient operations.
- Attend relevant company meetings and communicate issues or complications to supervision.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
- Manage purchase orders based on production needs, coordinate with vendors, and resolve minor conflicts.
- Oversee warehouse operations including goods reception, storage, delivery, and returns.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Meeting quality and quantity standards consistently and complying with company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to safety policies, GMP regulations, OSHA requirements, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
- Ensuring food safety and safe food handling practices, with mandatory in-house Food Safety Training.
- Maintaining a good working knowledge of the SQF code.
