Job summary

MISO in Carmel, Indiana is seeking a Manager of Reliability Coordination to lead a control room team that keeps the electric grid safe and reliable across 15 states. You will guide real-time decision-making in a fast-paced environment and partner with engineering, operations, and HR to develop the workforce and improve processes.

Within your first year you will earn the trust of your team, peers, and customers, delivering measurable improvements to operations and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or 12 years of equivalent technical experience).
  • 8+ years of relevant technical experience.
  • ISO/RTO or energy industry expertise in transmission operations, relay system protection, or substation design/maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a control room team to respond to real-time grid events.
  • Collaborate with research and development teams and customers to influence policy and drive process improvements.
  • Partner with Human Resources to transform training and workforce development.
  • Earn the trust of your team, peers, and customers and deliver measurable improvements within the first year.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $165,000.00 – $175,000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met. At MISO we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, vacation, sick and safe time, available on your first day of employment.
