Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager-Reimbursement to lead cost reporting and reimbursement initiatives across our healthcare network.

The role focuses on maximizing governmental reimbursement, supervising Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting, and coordinating monthly analyses of revenue deductions and A/R reserves, reporting to the Director, Reimbursement. This position is remote and collaborative, with opportunities to influence financial operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in business, accounting or finance required.
• Experience leading reimbursement and cost reporting in healthcare.
• Knowledge of IME and GME reimbursement processes.

• Maximize governmental reimbursement through supervision of Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and audit support.

Position Details

This position is REMOTE

Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor of Science in business, accounting, or finance.

Experience

• 5 years of progressive development within a healthcare environment including experience managing staff.
• Recent hands-on responsibility for the preparation, completion, and review of healthcare cost reports, including experience supporting IME and GME reimbursement within an intern and resident training environment.

Other

• Effective communication skills with peers and upper management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
• Understanding of the net revenue month-end closing process.
