Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co. in Cranberry Township, PA, is seeking a Manager of the Fabrication Follow Engineering group for the Reactor Component Engineering department.

You will lead engineering teams, coordinate procurement document approvals, and ensure technical compliance throughout the PO lifecycle. The role reports to the Director of Reactor Component Engineering and is hybrid with on-site presence two days per week at the Cranberry Township headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical production/manufacturing discipline or equivalent experience in nuclear industry.
• Leadership competency and experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

• Coordinate the approval of procurement documents through Engineering.
• Be primary contact across internal engineers, supply chain, and management.
• Field high-level technical questions on design and fabrication topics, providing accurate guidance.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams, adjusting priorities to meet program goals.
• Mentor team members to promote capability and technical proficiency.
• Provide escalation support to engineering leadership to resolve issues in FFE activities.
• Review suppliers' technical proposals against project requirements.
• Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions to resolution.
• Manage WPRO document workflows and promote document control discipline.
• Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to ensure technical compliance and traceability throughout the PO and manufacturing lifecycle.

About The Role

You will be Manager of the Fabrication Follow Engineering group for the Reactor Component Engineering department. You will be the primary contact between APX Supply Chain and Engineering while providing technical guidance and resolving issues to keep manufacturing. You will lead the engineering teams in their reviews and routing of procurement documentation through WPRO, ensuring accurate workflow actions. You will also collaborate with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to maintain technical compliance and document control throughout the PO lifecycle.

You will report to the Director, Reactor Component Engineering, and be located at our global headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. This position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the approval of procurement documents through Engineering.
• Be primary contact across internal engineers at all levels, supply chain, and management, maintaining channels.
• Field high-level technical questions on design and fabrication topics, providing, accurate guidance.
• Lead cross-functional workstreams, adjusting priorities to maintain progress against shifting program goals.
• Mentor team members to promote overall team capability and technical proficiency.
• Provide escalation support to engineering leadership, ensuring resolution of technical issues improving FFE activities.
• Review suppliers' technical proposals against project requirements.
• Lead supplier deviations and specification exceptions to resolution.
• Manage WPRO document workflows—implementing Forward, Bypass, or Transfer actions—while promoting document control discipline.
• Partner with Commercial and Delivery Stream Engineers to ensure technical compliance, document traceability, and seamless execution throughout the PO and manufacturing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, a related technical production and manufacturing discipline, or equivalent business experience in the nuclear industry.
• Leadership competency and experience.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 130,400 to 163,000 per year.
