Job description

Girls Who Code is seeking a strategic and collaborative Manager, Programs Marketer to drive awareness, engagement, and growth for our programs and a new tech learning platform. This role will play a critical part in helping create compelling marketing materials and campaigns to support student and facilitator recruitment across our programs.

Working closely with cross-functional teams across Marketing and Programs, this role will develop and execute integrated campaigns that amplify key programs, strengthen brand visibility, and build a vibrant digital community that supports the next generation of women, girls, and nonbinary individuals in technology.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of growth marketing expertise, community engagement strategy, and strong collaboration skills, with a passion for using technology and storytelling to expand access and opportunity in tech. This role will be a member of the Marketing and Communications team and report to the Senior Director, Marketing.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key connector between the Programs and Marketing teams, ensuring programs and related events are amplified effectively and cohesively across all touchpoints
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote program events, initiatives, and key milestones across digital and social channels
  • Partner with the Programs team to create recruitment materials and strategies to recruit facilitators and students for in‑person and online programs
  • Design and implement marketing strategies to drive signups for our learning platform, including awareness, acquisition, and engagement
  • Design and execute student engagement and retention strategies for our learning platform through targeted in‑platform marketing activities
  • Build and optimize marketing plans to drive qualified traffic to our learning platform, converting visitors into active members through targeted messaging and calls‑to‑action
  • Create integrated, multi‑platform marketing materials that reflect the voice and mission of the organization while meeting the distinct needs of each program’s audience
  • Outreach to our student and alumni community to facilitate content submissions for marketing content
  • Provide strategic support on ad creative, targeting, and messaging to drive traffic to our learning and amplify programs initiatives — maximizing both click‑through and conversion rates
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics across channels, using data insights to continuously refine strategies and improve member acquisition and retention
Qualifications
  • Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills with the ability to translate program goals into effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Strong project management skills to lead multiple projects with numerous stakeholders
  • Familiarity with online learning audiences and communities, with an understanding of what drives engagement, participation, and long‑term membership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute data‑driven marketing campaigns, using performance metrics and audience insights to guide strategy
  • Experience creating integrated digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, web, and community platforms
  • Strong storytelling and content development skills with the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging, accessible messaging
  • Experience supporting community‑building initiatives such as online forums, digital learning communities, events, or member engagement programs
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Passion for advancing equity and opportunity in technology for girls, women, and nonbinary individuals
