We are seeking an experienced technical program leader to oversee the development, deployment, and ongoing evolution of an enterprise AI platform and its portfolio of AI-powered solutions. This role sits at the intersection of AI engineering, platform operations, governance, and enterprise delivery, ensuring that AI initiatives move efficiently from early experimentation into reliable, production-ready applications.
The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with a practical understanding of AI systems, agile delivery methodologies, and enterprise technology environments. They will coordinate cross-functional teams, establish consistent delivery processes, manage technical dependencies, and implement governance frameworks that support the secure, scalable, and responsible adoption of AI across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Delivery and Roadmap Management: Lead planning, prioritization, and execution across multiple engineering teams responsible for AI infrastructure, agent orchestration, developer tooling, identity management, monitoring, and enterprise integrations.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage dependencies across engineering, security, infrastructure, architecture, and product teams to maintain delivery timelines and establish predictable release cycles.
- AI Use Case Prioritization: Establish an intake and assessment process for proposed AI initiatives, evaluating business value, data availability, technical feasibility, and associated risks before translating approved opportunities into actionable delivery plans.
- AI Production Readiness: Define and manage the processes required to transition AI solutions from prototypes to production, including performance evaluations, security testing, adversarial testing, access controls, monitoring, and rollback procedures.
- Governance and Risk Management: Establish delivery standards, approval checkpoints, human oversight requirements, and audit documentation to support reliable, transparent, and compliant AI implementations.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a central point of coordination for business sponsors, technical leadership, security stakeholders, and platform users, translating business objectives and technical constraints into clear priorities and decisions.
- Agile Delivery Leadership: Facilitate planning sessions, manage backlogs, track milestones, resolve delivery blockers, and coordinate release activities across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Platform Adoption: Partner with product and engineering teams to encourage adoption of shared AI capabilities, identify implementation challenges, and improve the overall developer and user experience.
- Performance Measurement: Develop reporting frameworks to track platform adoption, AI evaluation outcomes, production incidents, defect rates, delivery cycle times, and operational costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline delivery processes, improve team productivity, and incorporate AI-assisted workflows into program management and software delivery activities.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in program management, technical delivery, product management, or a related discipline, including leadership of complex, cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale technical programs across multiple teams in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile and scaled delivery methodologies, including planning cycles, backlog management, cross-team dependencies, and coordinated releases.
- Working knowledge of AI and large language model applications, including AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool integrations, orchestration, and model evaluation.
- Understanding of the technical and operational considerations involved in moving AI applications from experimentation into production.
- Familiarity with AI quality assurance practices, including evaluation datasets, performance testing, security assessments, and safeguards against prompt injection and other adversarial inputs.
- Technical proficiency sufficient to independently validate program outcomes, including SQL skills and the ability to interpret application logs, telemetry, and evaluation results.
- Experience using generative AI tools to improve productivity, automate documentation, develop requirements, analyze delivery information, or support team workflows.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and enterprise technology controls, including identity and access management, network security, secrets management, and change management processes.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Azure-based AI development and deployment platforms, including Azure AI Foundry or comparable enterprise AI tooling.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar enterprise data and analytics platforms.
- Experience establishing AI evaluation frameworks, maintaining benchmark datasets, coordinating red-team exercises, or incorporating responsible AI reviews into release processes.
- Experience partnering with platform engineering or operations teams on service-level objectives (SLOs), incident response, production monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Background delivering technology programs within financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Understanding of enterprise audit requirements, data governance, security reviews, and compliance documentation.
- Experience implementing AI-assisted software development or delivery practices across engineering teams.
