Job summary

BioTissue Holdings Inc. in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a Manager, Practice Integration (Northeast) to partner with marketing and sales leaders to optimize ophthalmic practices preparing for cataract surgery.

You will educate staff across front desk to physicians, develop protocols for dry eye disease and ocular surface optimization, and drive adoption of new processes. Travel up to 50% is required; clinical background is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a clinical or practice setting with optometric/ophthalmic practices.
  • Ability to consult, educate, and influence diverse stakeholders from admin to physicians.
  • Proven track record implementing protocols in a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of dry eye disease management and cataract surgery preparation protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client practices as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to identify target accounts for practice optimization.
  • Assess practice needs, recommend protocols, and implement strategies to drive efficiencies and outcomes.
  • Engage with front desk, billing, coding, practice admins, medical techs, optometrists, and ophthalmologists for protocol adoption.
  • Act as subject matter expert in ocular surface optimization and dry eye management.
  • Influence key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and understanding of new protocols.
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in dry eye and cataract surgery preparation.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales training, reimbursement specialists, and MSLs for alignment.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, protocols, and presentations.
  • Educate sales representatives on Sales Training & Development content.
  • Track and report on metrics related to practice optimization and patient outcomes.

Position Summary

The Practice Integration Manager will play a pivotal role in collaborating with the marketing and sales leadership teams to identify key customer accounts that meet specific criteria for practice optimization and efficiency. The primary focus will be on assisting practices in developing and implementing protocols and educating the sales team on practice integration protocols, that address dry eye disease and optimize ocular surface health prior to cataract surgery.

This position requires working closely with all aspects of practice, from front desk personnel to physicians, as well as a number of sales professionals and sales leaders. The individual in this role must be a subject matter expert in protocols within optometric and ophthalmic practices and demonstrate the ability to consult, educate, and influence stakeholders at every level. Experience in a clinical environment is essential, and the role demands staying current with industry trends while collaborating with various cross-functional partners, including marketing, sales training, reimbursement, and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales leadership to identify target accounts that need practice optimization, specifically focusing on dry eye disease and ocular surface preparation for cataract surgery.
  • Work directly with practices to assess needs, recommend protocols, and implement strategies that drive efficiencies and improved patient outcomes.
  • Engage with every function within the practice, including front desk, billing, coding, practice administrators, medical technicians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists, to ensure seamless adoption of recommended protocols.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the field of ocular surface optimization and dry eye disease management, providing guidance and insights on industry best practices.
  • Influence and consult with key stakeholders within practices, from front desk staff to physician partners, ensuring buy-in and understanding of the protocols and changes recommended.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, research, and developments in the field of dry eye disease, ocular surface optimization, and cataract surgery preparation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales training, reimbursement specialists, and MSLs, to ensure alignment and support for practice integration initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, protocols, and presentations that address practice needs and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Educate sales representatives on Sales Training & Development content
  • Track and report on key metrics related to practice optimization and patient outcomes, making adjustments as necessary to improve performance.

Position Expertise/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare administration preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a clinical or practice setting, with a strong understanding of optometric and ophthalmic practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, educate, and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, from administrative staff to physicians.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing protocols or changes within a clinical setting.
  • Strong understanding of dry eye disease management, ocular surface optimization, and cataract surgery preparation protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to client practices as needed.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience working with cross-functional teams in marketing, sales, or healthcare-related functions.
  • Familiarity with reimbursement processes and billing and coding practices within optometric and ophthalmic settings.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to ocular surface optimization and dry eye disease.

Physical Requirements

Travel Requirements:

  • Remote with up to 50% travel required.
