Responsibilities

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Plant Sales Manager to contribute toward the development of the business growth strategies and is wholly responsible for the implementation of daily tactics to achieve fiscal sales objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Customer interface, relationship development, and communication
  • Prepare plant sales budget and Monthly Business Review Pack
  • Find and win incremental spot business
  • Supervise employees in the Sales department, including hiring, training, performance appraisal, and discipline
  • Manage internal customer service functions and responsiveness to customer requests
  • Coordinate with other sites on transfer business
  • Develop new sales opportunities: existing product/new customer, new product/existing customer, new product/new customer
  • Negotiate within company boundaries to gain margin
  • Manage customer agreements and ensure compliance
  • Assist with cost issues and collections
  • Develop product knowledge and gather market intelligence
  • Report progress monthly and quarterly with specific metrics
  • Travel as needed in the Pacific Rim, China, the US, and the UK
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a team of customer service representatives, account managers, and analysts in sales.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and aerospace manufacturing experience, with 5 years of leadership experience.

Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to interpret business and technical documents, write reports, and present information effectively.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to perform basic arithmetic, ratios, percentages, and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.

Physical Demands

Regular talking, hearing, sitting, handling, occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity required.

Work Environment

Moderate noise level, occasional vibration, accommodations available for disabilities.

Pay Range

$150k - $165k depending on experience.
