Job Summary

Manage and administer all human resources activities such as employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, training, and employee services in the assigned division. Facilitate implementation of the organization's human resource strategy to attract, manage, develop, and retain employees to achieve current and future business goals.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through local Human Resources managers. Assist and advise local managers on HR issues.
  2. Coach employees and managers on interpreting and administering company HR policies. Assist management in maintaining positive employee relations.
  3. Assess the internal employee climate, counsel with managers to identify and implement actions that improve or maintain a positive employee environment. Represent the company at unemployment hearings when needed. Recommend and implement personnel policies and procedures; maintain the employee handbook.
  4. Support recruitment, selection, and retention through conducting orientations, monitoring career-pathing programs, employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviews.
  5. Collaborate with managers to determine training needs, analyze training requirements, and recommend suitable programs to support development.
  6. Plan and conduct new employee orientations, develop proactive training plans, and ensure employees are prepared to meet business objectives.
  7. Administer job evaluations and compensation programs, develop job profiles, and assist managers with salary and wage administration to ensure pay equity.
  8. Assist managers with Workers’ Compensation issues, ensure prompt return to work, monitor restricted duty assignments, and review claims for corrective actions.
  9. Management responsibilities include overseeing professional or non-professional teams, managing daily operations, and contributing to budget planning. Develop and implement policies, guide staff functions, and handle staffing, performance reviews, and development.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachelor’s degree.

Work Experience

Minimum 4 years in Human Resources roles.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Experience in project coordination, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations at various organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for business purposes.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Experience managing people, including hiring, development, motivation, and leadership.

Certifications

PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

The salary range is $100,360.00 - $150,800.00 annually, with actual salary based on location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. The role is eligible for bonuses or incentives.
