Tenet Healthcare in Dallas seeks a dynamic physician recruitment leader to manage a team, shape sourcing strategies across Hospital Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology and other hospital-based specialties, and partner with hospital leadership to fill critical physician roles.

You will oversee pipelines, deliver regular metrics reports, and ensure a positive candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding, with minimal travel required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years physician recruitment experience, hospital-based preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or team management experience.
  • Bachelors degree preferred in Business, Healthcare Admin, HR, or related field.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or similar CRM/ATS and MS Office.
  • Strong relationships, communication, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day management of a team of physician recruiters.
  • Develop recruitment strategies to attract hospital-based physicians across multiple specialties.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to understand workforce needs and plan recruiting efforts.
  • Oversight of pipelines, candidate activity, sourcing effectiveness, and placement metrics.
  • Regular reporting on recruitment activity, open searches, and market trends.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding.
  • Collaborate with HR, Compliance, Credentialing, Legal, and Operations to onboard physicians.
  • Identify innovative sourcing strategies and best practices to improve outcomes.
  • Maintain recruitment data integrity in Salesforce and related systems.
  • Monitor market trends and compensation to inform strategies; support budgeting and planning.
  • Adhere to organizational policies, compliance requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Travel as needed; minimal travel required.

Job description

  • Provides direct leadership, coaching, and day-to-day management of a team of physician recruiters, including sourcing, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and professional development.
  • Develops and implements recruitment strategies to identify and attract qualified hospital-based physician candidates, including but not limited to Hospital Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology, Critical Care, Pathology, and other hospital-based specialties.
  • Partners with hospital leadership, market executives, and physician leaders to understand workforce needs and develop targeted recruitment plans.
  • Maintains oversight of recruitment pipelines, candidate activity, sourcing effectiveness, and placement metrics to ensure achievement of departmental goals and service level expectations.
  • Provides regular reporting and updates regarding recruitment activity, open searches, market trends, and key performance indicators.
  • Ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing through onboarding and start date.
  • Partners with internal departments including Human Resources, Compliance, Credentialing, Legal, and Operations to facilitate successful physician recruitment and onboarding.
  • Identifies and implements innovative sourcing strategies, recruitment technologies, and best practices to improve recruitment outcomes.
  • Maintains recruitment data integrity within Salesforce and other recruitment systems and ensures accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Monitors market trends, compensation competitiveness, specialty workforce challenges, and industry best practices to inform recruitment strategies.
  • Supports annual planning, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts related to physician recruitment initiatives.
  • Ensures adherence to organizational policies, recruitment regulations, compliance requirements, and ethical recruitment standards.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of physician recruitment experience, with demonstrated experience recruiting for hospital-based physician specialties preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership or team management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of physician recruitment processes, sourcing methodologies, workforce planning, and physician employment models.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience utilizing metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and recruitment technologies, including Salesforce or similar CRM/applicant tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of physician recruitment industry trends, laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management capabilities.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence, accountability, and a commitment to team development and operational excellence.
  • Leads with professionalism and executive presence while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture.
  • Minimal travel may be required. We will run a Motor Vehicle Records check on the selected candidate.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience recruiting hospital-based specialties within a healthcare system, physician management organization, or healthcare staffing environment.
  • Experience supporting multi-state physician recruitment operations.
  • CPRP certification or willingness to obtain certification.
