Job summary

PANTHERx Specialty LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Manager of Physical Security & Business Continuity to lead enterprise security, business continuity, and crisis response across all facilities. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Director, Real Estate and Facilities and requires collaboration with legal, compliance, IT, HR, and operations.

The position emphasizes risk mitigation, emergency planning, vendor oversight, and performance metrics to ensure safety and uninterrupted

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in criminal justice, emergency management, or public safety.
• Minimum 7 years in physical security, corporate security, business continuity, or related fields.
• Ability to travel 15–25% to company facilities and project sites.
• Valid driver's license for travel to locations.
• Certifications in protection, business continuity or emergency management are preferred.
• Experience with ProScan, Acre Access, OpenEye, and related tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

Manager, Physical Security & Business Continuity

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

Classification: Exempt

Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Director, Real Estate and Facilities

Purpose

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the company’s physical security, business continuity, crisis management, and resilience programs across all facilities and operations. This role will establish enterprise-wide security standards, business continuity frameworks, emergency response plans and risk mitigation strategies designed to protect employees, visitors, facilities, products, and business operations while supporting regulatory, customer, and industry requirements. This position serves as a key leader in identifying, assessing and mitigating operational risk while ensuring the organization is prepared to effectively respond to, recover from and adapt to disruptions and emerging threats

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains enterprise physical security strategy, policies, and standards
• Conducts site security assessments and recommend risk mitigation measures
• Manages security guard service providers and security-related vendors, including operational oversight and associated vendor spend, while maintaining alignment with the Director for budget visibility, financial governance, and final approval authority.
• Provides governance for access control, visitor management, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related technologies
• Leads investigations involving security incidents, theft, workplace violence concerns, facility intrusions, and policy violations, partnering with Information Security, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, and Operations leadership to ensure appropriate response, resolution, risk mitigation, and continuity of business operations.
• Develops & maintains the enterprise business continuity program by establishing government frameworks, standards, and accountability measures for physical security, crisis management, and business continuity across the enterprise
• Partners with business leaders to ensure continuity planning and preparedness requirements are incorporated into operational practices
• Partners with Enterprise Risk Management, Compliance, Information Security, Operations, and Human Resources to identify and mitigate operational risks impacting business continuity and employee safety.
• Develop, implement, and lead the enterprise crisis management program, including incident escalation protocols, crisis response governance, executive communications, cross-functional response coordination, and post-incident recovery and improvement activities.
• Conducts business impact analyses and continuity planning exercises
• Coordinates enterprise response and recovery efforts during significant incidents
• Develops enterprise resilience strategies to address natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, utility failures, labor disruptions and other operational threats
• Establishes site emergency response plans and evacuation procedures
• Leads incident command structures and emergency response teams
• Maintains relationships with local emergency management and public safety agencies
• Develops KPIs and security metrics
• Prepares executive level risk & resilience reporting
• Maintains compliance with applicable regulatory, customer, and industry expectations
• Supports regulatory inspections, customer audits, and security compliance assessments, ensuring readiness and remediation of identified gaps

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Business Continuity, or Public Safety preferred
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in physical security, corporate security, business continuity, emergency management, law enforcement, military, healthcare security, pharmaceutical security, or a related field.
• Ability to travel between company locations as needed (approximately 15-25% travel).
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to company facilities and project sites.
• Certifications Preferred: Certification Protection Professional, Associate Protection Professional, Certified Business Continuity Professional, Certified Emergency Manager, Physical Security Professional
• Experience with ProScan, Acre Access, OpenEye, BOLD planning, AlertMedia
• Microsoft 365, SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy, healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated distribution environments.
• Experience managing security and business continuity programs across multiple states and locations.
• Experience designing or implementing enterprise access control and video surveillance systems.
• Experience supporting DEA-regulated environments or controlled substance operations.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide crisis management teams.
• Data analytics and security intelligence reporting experience.
• Experience managing 24/7 operations and critical infrastructure environments.

This job works in a professional home or office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
