PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a Supervisor, Quality to oversee day-to-day activities of the Quality Specialists and ensure compliance with accreditation standards. The role provides leadership, guidance, and support to maintain quality and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The Supervisor will manage workflow, monitor performance, and foster accountability while collaborating on quality initiatives. Hybrid work options and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; may consider a high school diploma and equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three years in a healthcare quality role with audits and accreditation experience.
• Ability to lead or mentor others with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Self-directed and able to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement and performance management concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and mentors a team of Quality Specialists, ensuring audits of prescription and patient files and call recordings.
• Assigns and prioritizes work, monitors progress, and provides feedback to team members.
• Serves as escalation point for audit questions and issues.
• Collaborates to implement quality initiatives and projects to meet program goals.
• Ensures adherence to accreditation standards and internal policies across activities.
• Analyzes audit data to identify opportunities for process and training improvements.
• Leads quality improvement projects and supports larger initiatives for the Quality team.
• Promotes best practices and consistency in audit methodology.
• Oversees deviations and CAPAs including review and effectiveness checks.
• Prepares for internal and external audits as needed.
• Presents team performance metrics to various stakeholders and committees.
• Facilitates regular team meetings and develops skills of Quality Specialists.

Reports to: Manager, Quality-Operations

Purpose

The Supervisor, Quality is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Quality Specialists and ensuring the effective execution of quality processes and related procedures. The role provides leadership, guidance, and support to maintain compliance with accreditation standards and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. The Supervisor will manage workflow, monitor performance, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the quality team.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and mentors a team of Quality Specialists, ensuring timely and accurate completion of prescription file, patient file, and call recording audits.
• Assigns and prioritizes work, monitors progress, and provides feedback to team members.
• Serves as the first point of escalation for audit-related questions and issues.
• Collaborates with the Manager, Quality – Operations, to implement quality initiatives and improvement projects to meet or exceed program goals.
• Ensures adherence to accreditation standards and internal policies across quality activities.
• Analyzes audit data to identify opportunities for process and training improvements and contributes to corrective action plans.
• Leads quality improvement projects and supports larger initiatives for the Quality team.
• Promotes best practices and consistency in audit methodology across the team.
• Takes an increasing role in partner audits by coordinating the preparation meetings and materials.
• Oversees deviations and CAPAs including review, approval, and effectiveness check processes.
• Assists in preparation for internal and external audits as needed.
• Prepares and presents team performance metrics to the Quality, Operations, Training, and Billing teams in addition to the Quality Management Committee.
• Facilitates regular team meetings to communicate updates, share knowledge, and reinforce quality standards.
• Develops the skills of the Quality Specialists to optimize performance for increasing responsibilities.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager, Quality - Operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; may consider a high school diploma andr equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a healthcare quality role, including experience conducting audits and supporting accreditation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor others, with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• High degree of self-direction and ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement and performance management concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
• CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality).
• Experience in specialty pharmacy or similar healthcare setting.

This position works in a home or professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
