- Support and manage partner-specific technical roadmaps aligned with partner product strategies, GMNS Product priorities, and shared commercial objectives
- Develop understanding of strategic partners’ business priorities and technical capabilities to identify mutual-growth opportunities and differentiated network solutions
- Translate partner requirements into product requirements, business cases, and roadmap recommendations
- Collaborate with GMNS Product teams to prioritize enhancements and resolve competing priorities
- Represent partner perspectives in product planning, roadmap reviews, and prioritization discussions
- Coordinate product delivery, launch readiness, and partner outcomes with Solutions Enablement, Partner Account Management, and other stakeholders
- Serve as a trusted advisor in strategic product discussions with partners
- Identify risks, manage dependencies, and drive alignment across internal and external teams
- Capture and synthesize partner feedback, market insights, and industry trends to inform product enhancements and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in partner-facing, product management, consulting, strategy, business development, or related roles
- Experience within payments, financial services, technology, or platform businesses
- Ability to build trusted relationships with strategic partners and collaborate across cross-functional teams
- Experience translating customer or partner needs into product requirements, business cases, or roadmap recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to evaluate competing priorities, make data-driven recommendations, and communicate trade-offs
- Working knowledge of payments, network products, digital commerce, or related financial technology ecosystems
- Ability to quickly develop expertise in American Express network capabilities and product offerings
- Ability to influence stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization without direct authority
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Ability to travel for partner and stakeholder meetings, estimated up to 20%
- Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required; the company will not pursue visa sponsorship
