Job summary

Maersk in New York is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee multiple operational aspects, including shipments, paperwork, freight status, and driver dispatch. This role serves as the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, and operations, ensuring quality service in line with company policies.

The supervisor will monitor performance metrics, enforce safety and regulatory compliance, coach staff, and support continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Background in customer service preferred.
• Ability to read key elements of financial statements in support of functional responsibilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Superior organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of systems used in logistics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing operational systems, procedures and staffing to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Train, supervise, coach and evaluate direct reports to foster good communications.
• Review KPIs monthly and benchmark data to drive corrective actions.
• Communicate freight status and issues to customers, vendors and other Pilot stations.
• Handle freight via forklift and load/off-load trucks for optimal routing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOBSUMMARY:

The Operations Supervisormonitorsalloperations including butnot limited to; Process shipments, prepare paperwork,communicate freightstatusanddispatch driversforpickup.The supervisorwillbe the primary interface between Pilot Freight Services, customers, sales, systemoperationsand vendors and provide quality customer service, while meeting company policies and procedures.

PayRange:

$65,000- $70,000 per year

*The above stated pay range is theanticipatedstarting salary range for the position.The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salaryin accordance withall applicable laws. _
