Job summary

HOUMA CLUB 24 LLC is seeking a Manager on Duty to assist in overseeing gym operations and lead a high-performing front desk and training staff. This role rotates weekends with other club leaders and reports to the General Manager on Duty.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, handling member onboarding and tours, managing check-ins, calls to prospective members, scheduling, ensuring cleanliness, and tracking weekly and monthly statistics.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, preferably in the fitness industry.
• Strong supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Assists GM and AGMs in training and developing staff (front desk and trainers).
• Sales duties including calls to prospective members and inquiries from online channels.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure superior customer service.
• Provide backup support when AGMs or GM are not on site.
• Schedule and supervise staff; resolve or escalate employee issues.
• Oversee front desk activities: check-ins, tours, and member requests.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility; order supplies within budget.
• Track statistics and generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports.

Reports to: General ManagerManager on Duty - Closer:Job SummaryThe Manager on Duty will be responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure the club is successful. Hours include both weekdays and weekends as this position rotates weekends with CLUB Assistant General Managers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists GM and AGMs in training and developing a high performing staff consisting of front desk and trainers.Sales duties to include making phone calls to prospective members that have been to the club or have shown interest in joining via online communications. Strong sales background helpful. Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.Assists in providing backup support to Club management when no AGMs or the GM is on site.Assists in scheduling and supervising staff.Assists in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.Involved in all front desk related activities including:Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.Check members into the system.New member sign-up.Take prospective members on tours.Facilitate all member requests, issues, and questions.Assists in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of facility.Assists in ordering of supplies using specific budget based on club requirements.Assists in tracking statistics and reports (weekly, monthly, and annually).Backup support for absent staff members.Qualifications/RequirementsSuperior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills.Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!Strong problem resolution skills.Current CPR Certification preferred.High school diploma/GED equivalent required.Must be 18 years of age or older.Physical DemandsContinual standing and walking during shift.Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.
