We Are Hiring

• Department: Data Delivery and Governance
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
• Location: Remote

What You Will Do

As a hands-on leader, you will establish data quality frameworks, define automation strategies, and lead a team of data QA professionals to ensure reliable and high-quality data for business insights and decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in data quality management, automation, and cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP BigQuery). The leader will work closely with product and program directors to facilitate the growth of the data warehouse capabilities and strategy.

Responsibilities

• Data Quality Strategy & Leadership:
  • Define and execute a comprehensive data quality testing strategy for data products, data services, and integrations.
  • Establish best practices for data validation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
  • Develop data quality KPIs and metrics to measure and improve data reliability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data testers and QA engineers to drive excellence in data testing.
• End-to-End Data Testing & Automation:
  • Oversee functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Implement automated data validation frameworks using Python, SQL, and cloud-native tools.
  • Drive the integration of test automation into CI/CD/CT pipelines for continuous data quality assurance.
  • Define and enforce data testing standards across teams to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Performance Testing:
  • Conduct performance and scalability testing to ensure the efficiency of data pipelines and queries.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and DevOps teams to optimize data processing workflows.
• Technical Oversight & Engineering Collaboration:
  • Have hands-on experience in ETL development and data engineering workflows to partner closely with engineering teams during pipeline development and test-driven development.
  • Provide technical leadership in testing cloud data migration projects, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity during source-to-target transitions.
  • Review ETL mappings, orchestration logic, and transformation rules, ensuring quality controls are embedded early in the lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to implement data validation at scale, performance benchmarks, and reconciliation logic between source systems and the cloud warehouse.
• Governance, Compliance & Issue Resolution:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Work with Data Governance teams to establish and maintain data lineage, metadata validation, and data governance controls.
  • Manage and drive resolution of data quality issues, defects, and anomalies through proactive monitoring.
  • Act as a liaison between Product leaders, Delivery Leaders / Technical managers, End Users, and QA Testers to ensure alignment on data quality goals.

What You Will Need

• Education: High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of experience OR Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of relevant experience.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Additional Preferences

• 10+ years of experience in data quality testing, data engineering, data validation, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in data warehouse, data lake, and ETL testing on cloud platforms (preferably GCP BigQuery). Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with data testing frameworks, test automation, CI/CD, and performance testing.
• Experience in defining test data requirements and creating test beds for large projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Data product management experience as a Product Owner or Manager.
• Experience leading data migration projects and familiarity with data observability, metadata management, and governance tools (e.g., Collibra).
• Knowledge of GCP tools like BigQuery, Composer, Dataform, etc.
